Democratic Republic of Congo: 13th world producer, 6th African producer, caffeine content 1.25% Our story begins in Kivu (province in the east of the DRC) where we had coffee plantations in the 1950s, so we are particularly happy to offer this origin directly from the producer. This exceptional coffee grows on the volcanic land bordering Lake Kivu between 1800 and 2000 meters above sea level, it enjoys a remarkable location. This coffee is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, the cherries are harvested by small producers, allowing them to access real improvements in terms of quality of life. The commercialization of this coffee and its return to the markets represent the rebirth of a great terroir.
