Bernadette de Lavernette - Hibiscus with Violet
Made in Craft went in search of an exceptional artisanal jam and for that we give you an appointment in Madagascar.
We went to meet the artisan Bernadette de Lavernette who offers a wide range of artisanal jam by selecting its products from local Malagasy producers.
We offer you one of its products: Hibiscus Jam with Violet
Bernadette de Lavernette offers us a variety of edible hibiscus, also called Bissap, it is harvested in the Itasy region. A jam whose confit exudes blackcurrant or redcurrant depending on the maturity of the calyces.
On the palate, the Hibiscus Violet jam is a walk in the woods suggested by the tangy finery of red berries, which leaves a smoky background. We find a magical mixture of Hibiscus and violet, with spicy notes.
You can enjoy this jam on a slice of cereal bread, or simply with a butter cookie. It will also work wonderfully with plain yogurt or sugar-free cheese. Good tasting.
You can find other exceptional jams with magical scents here.
